The Foundation Certification Course is ideal for healthcare practitioners to learn the art of hypnosis and hypnotherapy as an adjunct to their existing skills. Of approximately 70 hours duration, it is also the perfect introductory course for those who do not need to learn all the 'ins and outs' of professional practice. The Foundation Certification course is designed especially for home study.

What can a basic course like this teach me?

Although it's described as a 'foundation skills' course, this tuition programme is actually far more comprehensive than some that claim to be 'complete'. The following subjects, and a whole lot more, are covered in precise detail:

• How to hypnotise almost anybody
• Safely releasing hypnosis
• Getting to the 'roots' of problems
• Suggestibility testing
• What it can and cannot do

Course Format

Designed specifically for distance-learning, the course is presented in a structured and easy to assimilate format. There are seven lessons spread over four modules, each lesson complete in itself yet integrating seamlessly with the others to provide a full tuition programme. One of the lessons includes a 'hypno-wellbeing' audio cassette that will not only give your ego a boost, but will also allow you to hear how to deliver a hypnotic induction and subsequent suggestion work.

The Foundation Course serves as an excellent 'primer' that will stand you in good stead if you later decide to study further. To this end, you can easily upgrade to the rather more-complex Professional Practitioners course at any time you wish, simply by paying the difference in cost between the two courses.

No Experience Necessary

You need have no previous experience of therapy of any sort to become a successful hypnotherapist - in fact, this Foundation Course is written with the assumption that the student may have no more than a vague idea of what therapy actually is and is supposed to do. And you don't have to worry that you might need to be a 'special' sort of person either, because successful hypnotherapists come from such truly diverse backgrounds as: shop assistants, company directors, lorry drivers, bank clerks, insurance brokers, housewives, househusbands, factory workers, car salesmen, computer programmers, ballroom dancers, musicians, welders, electronics engineers, builders... whatever occupation you can think of, it's almost certain that a therapist somewhere has been it.

No Special Gift

It's a common misconception that only people who possess 'the gift of hypnosis' can apply it properly. The reality is that anybody can learn how to use it, for it is the therapy part of the equation that takes more time to grasp - but the Essex Institute of Clinical hypnosis courses even make that easy! It matters not one bit whether you are young or old, male or female, academically talented or simply just a 'regular' sort of person, you can learn how to use this amazing phenomenon of the psyche to help improve the lives of your fellow beings.

The Certificate of Studies

When you complete your studies, you will have the opportunity to take a small examination of your skills. The exam paper will be sent to you at home - there is no need for you to attend the College personally. This is an entirely optional paper, for which a small examination fee of £30.00 will be charged. It will give you the satisfaction of knowing that you have learned your skills thoroughly, the confidence to use them - and, of course, a personalised and framed diploma as evidence of your competence

Fees

The total fee for the entire course is only £300.00 Stirling (US$465.00 approx.) and this may be paid in advance, or per module at £75.00 Stirling (US$115.00 approx.), which may be purchased 'as required' or at monthly intervals. Purchasing one module places you under no obligation to purchase more.
