Overview

LifeMapperTM is a state-of-the-art motivational concept by LifeMappers Ltd (www.lifemappers.com) The training programme is conducted via intensive interactive distance-learning and will equip you to provide professional help for those who need to make an improvement in life FAST!

Using an innovative computer-driven personal assessment, it is more elegant, more focussed, and far more personalised than any coaching programme. Perhaps the most innovative part of it is that you can easily work effectively via email, telephone or FAX - even if you have never had a personal meeting with the client!

This course is accredited by the National Council of Psychotherapists and confers the qualification: ANCP (LNCP if you are already qualified as a professional hypnotherapist/psychotherapist).

The LifeMapperTM training course is run in conjunction with LifeMappers Ltd. We have only an outline of the course and associated training here and you can find more information on the LifeMappers website at www.lifemappers.com.

If you decide to study the LifeMapper course at the same time as our Professional Hypnotherapy course, you will qualify for a special discount in training fees, outlined later on.

The Training Format

Training is in an interactive home study format and will take, in general, from 3 to 6 months or so, depending on your current skills, how much effort you put into it, and whether or not you take the advanced training module.

Throughout, you will receive all the support you need and will have unlimited email contact with your trainer; most trainers will also be able to offer substantial telephone contact, too, though the level and speed of response may depend on several factors, including work load.

Stage 1

Once enrolled for training, you will receive a set of home study materials which include the LifeMapper™ CD Rom; when you have successfully completed the exercises therein, you submit them to your trainer and you cannot go on to stage 2 until you have completed this section satisfactorily. The length of time you spend on this part of the course will depend on a great many factors, including your general intelligence and previous experience. This section includes some basic training in relaxation techniques and creative visualisation in order that you will be equipped to help clients overcome any 'psychological blocks' that may be causing difficulties with goal-directed progress.

Stage 2

On this stage, you receive the Professional edition of the LifeMapper™ CD Rom - LifeMapper PRO - and learn how to use it to maximum advantage. To this end, you will receive a series of exercises covering many of the issues with which clients will present to you. All of these will be completed via email and are graded in difficulty. You are allowed to ask for guidance/assistance when necessary, since that is EXACTLY what you will need to do once you are into practice and you find yourself with a problem to which you do not have an immediate answer.

Stage 3

In stage 3, you will recive some far more advanced home study materials that will teach you how to understand your clients at a deeper level than even their close friends and relatives do. This part of the course (which includes video support) will give you access to immensely powerful skills that will allow you to work with ease and confidence in a wide variety of situations and with a wide variety of people.

Stage 4

In stage 4 you will be working interactively with other students, again via email. As before, you are allowed to ask for advice/assistance when necessary. As part of your training, fellow students will be asked to appraise the way you work with them, just as you will appraise the way they work with you. You must complete this part of the course successfully, or take a period of restudy.

Assuming success at this point, you will now be a fully registered LifeMapper and allowed to use the LifeMapper logos and name in your advertising and promotional material. You will receive your certification and personalised Registered LifeMappers plaque, and will be a member of the LifeMappers Association.

You are ready to go to work!

You can, if you wish, take one further stage of training, the Stress Management module, which includes a 'one-on-one' session with your trainer. This will give you an extra set of skills that will allow you to operate confidently within the area of stress consultancy, frequently necessary when working with business-orientated situations.

What Qualifications will I have?

The basic qualification is 'DPD'. This stands for 'Diploma in Personal Development'. And since the course is accredited by the National Council of Psychotherapists, you will also have a psychotherapy qualification, registered with that association at Affiliate level, conferring the letters: ANCP (This will be elevated to Licentiate level (LNCP) if you already hold hypnotherapy and/or psychotherapy qualifications.

You will also be eligible for one of:

If you have previous recognised training as a therapist, then you are entitled to use the letters: 'LMT' which indicates: LifeMapper therapist.

Those with proven experience in working with management personnel can use the designation 'LMSA' - LifeMapper Senior Associate or 'LMST' (LifeMapper Senior Therapist) as appropriate. So you will have, perhaps, these letters to append to your name: DPD. LNCP. LMT

If you qualify as a trainer, you will add the suffix 'Trainer' to your qualification.

These letters can go after your name on all correspondence and advertising.

How much does this all cost?

If you decide to incorporate the LifeMapper training into your Hypnotherapy training, the training fee is reduced to £750.00 (the usual training fee is £1250.00) and will include the Stress Management module (normally £250.00 extra)

Do I need somewhere special to work from?

Whilst a consulting room would be useful, it is by no means essential. It is entirely possible to work only via email and telephone - though you would have to ensure that potential clients were aware of this fact. But it's easy to work in a private room in your own home, your client's home or place of work, even a hotel room; all you need is access to a computer - desktop or laptop. When working at a distance, you will need an email connection and, preferably, a separate telephone line (or an ADSL connection so that you can be online and using the telephone at the same time).

Nonetheless, you can work with just a single telephone line; the only difficulty is that you will not be able to work in a totally interactive manner with your clients, so you will be slower, though still every bit as effective.

Is my business protected in any way?

Although there may well be other registered LifeMappers in your area (just as there would be other solicitors or accountants, for example) nobody can call themselves a 'LifeMapper' unless they have completed training with us. The term 'LifeMapper' is protected by trademark law in Europe and the USA and its unauthorised use is illegal.

How much could I earn?

An impossible question to answer!

It depends upon how well you market your services; if you just sat and waited for clients to find you, then you wouldn't earn as much as if you got out there and made sure they know where you are! All of this is covered in the training materials and we will advise you on the very many methods of finding clients and establishing your business. It is fair to say that with some effort on your part, it will be easy to establish a comfortable income.

How do I start?

If you want to train solely as a LifeMapper, then you should contact a LifeMapper Trainer in your area (or the nearest area to you) and request an information pack - you will receive it through the post or via email, whichever you prefer.

If you want to combine LifeMapper training with a Hypnotherapy Course, then you will tick the appropriate box on the Hypnotherapy Course application form to receive the special reduction in training fees.

What about professional support?

You get as much as you need! If you need advice concerning a client, running your business, finding new clients, advertising, promotion, fee structures, etc. - literally anything at all concerning your LifeMapper career - then your trainer will be available to give it. And if it becomes necessary, you have the whole-hearted support of the Head Office of the LifeMappers organisation.

Are there any other charges?

Nothing more than your annual subscription of £100.00 for which you will receive every update of the LifeMapper and LifeMapper Pro CDs, Plus unlimited contact and support from your trainer and LifeMappers HQ.
