Why do Advanced training as a Hypnotherapist?

The skills you will gain from the Professional Practitioner course are certainly enough to take you into successful practice but this advanced course takes you to a far higher echelon of achievement. It also allows you to ethically advertise yourself as a Psychotherapist, thus extending your skills and versatility.

These days, you need every bit of help you can get.

Completing the advanced course means that you will have skills in understanding and client-handling far in excess of otherwise, along with the ability to work without conscious hypnosis when necessary - essential when dealing with certain types of personality. Not only that, but you will also have a huge variety of techniques to hand, ensuring that you always have the right 'tool for the job'. You will be worthy of the title 'expert'.

The training programme

PLEASE NOTE THAT DEMAND FOR THIS ADVANCED TRAINING IS SUCH THAT WE CANNOT GUARANTEE IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY OF PLACES.

The advanced training programme is of two years duration in total and comprises the Professional Practitioner Course for year one, with its associated examination to gain your first year qualification. This is a 'DHP', (Diploma in Hypnotherapy), which, of course, allow you to go into private practice immediately. At this stage, you would take membership of The Association for Professional Hypnosis at Licentiate level.

There are other memberships that are available, but these three are mandatory if you wish to pursue the advanced training.

This stage must be completed successfully before continuing with year two studies. It is possible to attend year two only of the course to gain this certification from us, even if you did not train with us, as long as you already have obtained a qualification (DHP., CHt. or similar) in hypnosis or hypnotherapy from a reputable accredited school via a classroom-based course.

Year two comprises a series of intensive one day seminars and workshops; upon full completion you will receive your 'Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy' and will be eligible to upgrade your membership of the above named body to full Member status.

The classes are held on the second Monday of each month and are conducted by top professionals in the field covering such subjects as:

• Educational kinesiology
• Working with children
• Analytical psychotherapy
• An introduction to Jungian analysis
• An introduction to Ericksonian therapy
• Advanced Stress management
• Advanced hypnoanalysis
• Archetypal Parts Imagery
• Working 'online' and by telephone

Personal Tutorial Modules

There are 11 modules in total and in addition to these, you get two personal two-hour tutorials with the Principal of EICH, Terence Watts. These tutorials will be tailored to your own particular needs but will be based mainly around the practicalities associated with the world of therapy - client-handling, advanced induction skills, personality-related work, 'invisible' working, promotion of self and your practice and so on. Although these elements are covered in detail in the classes, experience has shown that personal tutorial in such subjects pays huge dividends of success once in practice.

To complete the course successfully, you will need to attend all of the classes and ensure that the mandatory requirements have been met. These are:

• Write a report on each class
• Practice, where applicable, the work that has been taught
• Write up at least one case history using one or more elements of the workshop

This work will be handed in on our next attendance day if you are to maintain the standard required to attain your qualifications. You will also need to attend the two personal tutorials, though there is no written work associated with these. The course work will be fully assessed at the year end and, if all is well, you will receive your advanced certification very soon after.

If a class is missed or part of your work is not of a satisfactory level, you will need to complete that section of the course again the following year. This is to ensure a 'protected standard' so that all those who achieve the advanced certification are worthy of the title 'Advanced Practitioner & Psychotherapist'.

Please note that this course may only be completed via full classroom study. First year Personal Tutorial, Combination Learning, or Distance Learning students are not eligible to enrol on year two of this advanced course.

Fees

There are several payment options:

• If you book the advanced course at the beginning of your training, the fee for the full 2 year course is £3050.00. In the unlikely event of your not being able to successfully complete year one, therefore being ineligible for year two, a refund of £1000.00 will be made.



• You can elect to complete the first year training before making a decision whether to continue with year two; your place on the second year will then depend on availability and will cost £1250.00. The fee for the first year is currently £1950.00



• The fee for the second year course taken on its own is £1350.00 (places subject to availability)



• Payments may be spread over 10-20 months if paying by standing order or agreed regular credit card payment.

Course Materials

All study materials are included in the cost of the course and the training modules are each individually certificated, giving you proof of extended and advanced study for your consulting room wall. This is not just 'for show' nor is it designed to be an ego-booster of sorts; it is so that your future clients can have confidence in the depth and thoroughness of your training, the more so since the certificates will be signed by some of the major names in the world of hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.
