Course Materials
The course includes the entire award winning 'Easy Quit Smoking Programme' from HYPNOSENSE. This programme is one of the most effective available and received the 1998 Award for Clinical Excellence from the Hypnotherapy Research Society.

There are three ways in which you may complete the course:
In the Classroom
Ten consecutive, monthly, intensive two-day weekend classes providing a total of 150 hours of tuition, couple with a few more hours per week of home study - a required reading list is provided along with a written course in excess of 140,000 words. There will be a requirement for two assessment essays of 1000 words to be completed, along with monthly assignments of case studies and a half-way interim test during the course period to further assess your progress.
Personal Training
The training materials and homework assignments are identical to the classroom-based course and there are many advantages to training via this method. to find out more, go here: Personal Tuition
Home Study
This course now covers the same subject matter as the In House programme but allowing you to study at your leisure. Modules are normally despatched at monthly intervals; the period can be longer if you wish, though to ensure proper learning, modules will not be despatched at shorter than monthly intervals.
At the end of your studies, you will be able to take the final examination and if successful, will receive your diploma and graduation pack shortly afterwards.
Fees:
Course fees may be paid by cash, cheque or credit card and this course is also eligible for a Government-sponsored Career development loan. In addition, we may be able to spread the cost over a longer period than shown below - please ask for details.
If paying by instalments, you can cancel at any time with no penalty, provided we have at least 28 days notice. If you pay in advance, we will issue a balance refund if you find the need to cancel your training for any reason; again, we require at least 28 days notice.
The total cost of the In House programme or Personal Tutorials is £2250.00 Sterling. If you wish, you can pay via ten monthly instalments of £225.00 Sterling

All required books are included in the fee for the classroom based course or personal tutorials; there is nothing else to pay. For all other courses, all the notes are included in the fee; the four required readings may be borrowed from a library or purchased separately.
The Home Study program costs £1200.00 Sterling or £120.00 Sterling per module
Purchase of one or more modules places you under no obligation or pressure to purchase more.
Exam Passes and qualifications: Distance learning students will receive:
- DHP (Diploma in Hypnotherapy - approx. equal to the US 'Cht.') Although there are no 'official' qualifications yet in existence, the DHP is a professional qualification that allows you to go confidently into practice.
Classroom/personal tutorial Students will receive:
- DHP
and will also be eligible for:
- LAPHP (Licentiate of the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy)
- LNCP (Licentiate membership of the National Council of Psychotherapists)
- MSSM (Member of The Society of Stress Managers)
As an 'in house' student, you will also be eligible for Associate Membership of the National Register of Advanced Hypnotherapists, full membership being available after two years.
If you successfully complete our Advanced Study Course, you will receive an Advanced Practitioner Diploma from the Essex Institute, as well as a higher membership status - MAPHP(Reg.) - of the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy Click here for details
Distance Learning students can apply for an Associate membership of the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. Though this is not considered to be a professional qualification as such, it is possible to apply for professional membership later.
In the event that you should fail the final exam, you will be able to retake it after a suitable period of further study at home.
"When can I start?"
The In House training course is held at weekends (Sat/Sun 9.30 am - 5.30 pm) and starts at a set time. The next course starts on Saturday, January 16th, 2010 and you cannot start other than on the first or second weekend. But if you decide to take the Personal Tutorialor Home Study options, then you can start whenever you feel ready. Entry onto either course is simple - just complete the student application form and either mail, email, or FAX it to the address shown on the form.
