What's included in the course
The course materials are extensive and include:

Everything to complete your training is included (Click here for an overview) and you need no previous experience in this type of work either because we assume you know nothing about the world of therapy and take you from the very beginning to fully qualified professional therapist. As long as you can read, and have an interest in people, you will be able to complete this course - and thoroughly enjoy every minute of it at the same time!

Qualifications and Certification
On the successful completion of your studies you will receive a diploma in Hypnotherapy with Psychotherapy along with an Advanced Diploma in Hypnoanalysis as well as pre-approved application forms to join our accrediting organisations (optional - subscriptions apply). You will be eligible to put 'DHP' after your name ('DHP' is an industry standard classification of a Diploma in Hypnotherapy with Psychotherapy) and depending on which associations you join, your other letters will be LAPHP, LNCP, MSSM, MIMDHA
You will also be elible for registration with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) so that Doctors and other health professionals will be able to recognise that you are a competent professional therapist - we have trained hundreds of people from all walks of life and from many parts of the world including Italy, Ireland, Bahrain, South Africa, Germany, Australia, Cyprus, Hong Kong...

Time needed
There is an option to study via personal tutorials, when study time and dates may be different from the classroom-based course, though fees and qualifications are currently identical. To find out more about this option, please contact us.
The Essex Institute course is of approxiamtely 450 hours in total, 150 of which are in the classroom. In addition to this you will complete a different assignment each month, all carefully graded to gradually increase your skills and professional expertise; the home study part of the course can be completed comfortably by most people with a commitment of around 6-8 hours per week.
NB: It is necessary to complete this course successfully to become eligible for our Advanced Study option.
Course Dates
Should you miss a class for any reason, there is an option for a 'catch up' personal tutorial session. Class dates for 2012 are: 21/22 January; 18/19 February; 17/18 March; 21/22 April; 19/20 May; 16/17 June; 21/22 July; August Recess; 15/16 September; 20/21 October; 17/18 November. The classes start at 10.00 am and finish at 5.30 pm each day, with breaks at mid-morning, lunch time, and mid afternoon.
Fees
The course fees are £2250.00 payable in 10 instalments of £225.00 We may be able to extend payments over a longer period provided you set up a Standing Order with your bank and if you wish to do this please contact us.
In addition, the Essex Institute is a registered learning provider (No.10008779), which means the entire course is eligible for a government-sponsored Career Development Loan - click here for further details.
We require a 10% deposit with your application, or you can, of course, pay in full if you wish. If at any time you decide the course is not for you we just need 28 days notice for you to be released from the training contract with no further financial obligation.
