The Advanced Training Programme
![]()
You have the option of completing just Level 1 & 2 of our three Levels of training, which will qualify you as an Advanced Therapist. Completing Level 3 will confer the professional status of Psychotherapist* At this level, this course is accredited as a bona fide psychotherapy course by The National Council of Psychotherapists.
Level One: The Professional Practitioner Course in hypnotherapy as shown elsewhere on this site; this will give you everything you need to go into practice as a successful hypnotherapist.
Level Two:
|
Please note that demand for this advanced training is such that we can only guarantee places to our own students who enrol on the full course at the beginning. |
To be eligible for this stage of training, you must have completed a properly accredited training course of at least 120 classroom hours; you will also need to be registered with one of our accrediting bodies:
- The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy
- The Hypnotherapy Association
- The National Council of Psychotherapists
This section of the course is conducted over a period of one year and the classes are held on the second Monday of the month. It comprises a series of 9 intensive one day seminars and workshops; upon full completion you will receive your 'Advanced Therapy Diploma' and will be eligible to upgrade your membership of The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy to full Member - MAPHP(Reg.) - status.
The classes cover such subjects as:
- Kinesiology for Learning
- Stress Management in Practice
- Analytical psychotherapy
- An introduction to Jungian analysis
- EFT and Hypnotherapy
- Cognitive Questioning Techniques
- NLP in Practice
- Working with personality-related issues
- Working 'online' and by telephone
To complete the course successfully, you will need to attend each one of the 9 classes and ensure that you have completed each section of the Student Course Portfolio that you will receive at the commencement of this second year. The completed portfolio will be fully assessed at the completion of your studies.
If a class is missed or part of your work is not of a satisfactory level, you will need to complete that section of the course again the following year. This is to ensure a 'protected standard' so that all those who achieve the advanced certification are worthy of the title 'Advanced Practitioner'.
Fees and details of start dates for this stage of the training are shown later on this page; if you are not intending to take the Level 3 training, you can go there now.
Level Three: This comprises two intensive specialist trainings:
- Psychosexual Disorders which will confer a 'Specialist' diploma
- SymbioDynamics™ up to Consultant level. This course also carries a separate certification, in addition to the 'Psychotherapy' diploma.
The Psychosexual Disorders specialist course is a one week training and you can find more details elsewhere on this site (Go there now). SymbioDynamics™ is a modern 'cutting edge' methodology that will allow you to work effectively at all levels, from individual coaching all the way up to corporate board rooms. This training is conducted via two two-day seminars, the first of which will take you to Registered Practitioner level, the second to Consultant. Each level will require an amount of work outside the classroom, which will include the preparation of suitable case studies. To find out more, click on the link to visit the SymbioDynamics Web Site
These trainings are run on a regular basis; you may elect to study them after you have completed the Level 2 training or concurrently with Level 2 if you prefer and if you feel you have the available time to do so.
|
This advanced training may only be completed via full attendance-based study. Therefore, first year Distance Learning students are not eligible for enrolment. |
